• Isopropyl Alcohol (90% or higher): This is your primary cleaning solvent. The higher the percentage, the better it will dissolve the resin.
• Coarse Salt: Epsom salt or coarse sea salt works best. This acts as an abrasive to scrub away stubborn resin.
• Resealable Plastic Bags or Containers: For smaller pieces like pipes and bowls.
• Pipe Cleaners or Cotton Swabs: For getting into tight spots.
• Hot Water: For rinsing.

Step-by-Step Cleaning Guide

1. Rinse with Hot Water: Carefully rinse your bong or pipe with hot water. This will help loosen up some of the fresh resin and debris. Don't use boiling water, as the temperature shock can crack the glass.
2. Separate the Pieces: If you're cleaning a bong, separate the bowl and downstem from the main chamber.
3. Clean Small Pieces: Place the bowl and downstem in a resealable plastic bag. Add a generous amount of coarse salt and enough isopropyl alcohol to submerge the pieces. Seal the bag and shake vigorously for a few minutes. Let it soak for 30 minutes for stubborn resin.
